Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician with strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills to join a manufacturing team. This position focuses on maintaining electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing industrial equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, motors, starters, sensors, and control circuits.
Maintain and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, hoses, cylinders, and valves.
Perform preventive maintenance, including lubrication, adjustments, belt and shaft alignment, and filter changes.
Inspect and maintain kilns and furnaces, including thermocouple checks.
Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment such as presses, mixers, kilns, and dust collectors.
Perform occasional welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs.
Install, commission, and upgrade industrial equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks as needed.
Perform general facility maintenance, including minor lighting and plumbing repairs.
Follow all workplace safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and applicable OSHA/NFPA standards.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience, or equivalent technical training.

  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.

  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting hydraulic and mechanical systems.

  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and hazard assessments.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications (NOT REQUIRED):

  • Trade certifications in electrical, hydraulic, or industrial maintenance.

  • Experience with 480V three-phase electrical systems and low-voltage DC control circuits.

  • Experience maintaining kilns, furnaces, and refractory components.

  • Knowledge of mechanical maintenance, alignment, and hydraulic troubleshooting.

  • MIG welding, fabrication, machining, manual lathe, or manual mill experience.

  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining CNC equipment.

  • Forklift certification.

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs.

  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

  • Ability to perform prolonged standing, bending, and overhead work.

  • Ability to work in hot and dusty environments and wear required protective equipment, including a respirator.
